A Nigerian sprinter, Rosemary Chukwuma, has won a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2018 Commonwealth Games as well as a gold medal in the 4 × 100 meters relay at the 2019 African Games.

According to report, in 2018, she won a gold medal in the 100 Meters at the Summer Youth Olympics, clocking 11.17 seconds.

She is in top 8 at World Championships, in the 2024 Olympic Rosemary Chukwuma, one of Nigeria’s representatives in the women’s 100 meters event at the ongoing Olympics in Paris has qualified for the semi-finals.

Chukwuma finished third in Heat 5 in a time of 11.26s behind Poland’s Ewa Swaboda(10.99s) and Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith (11.01s).


One of our other Nigerian representative, Tima Godbless, finished the race with 6th position at Heat 7 which she would no longer take part in the event.


The semi-finals and final will take place on Saturday, August 3.
