Ogun PDP Holds Ward Congress

The Ogun State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has concluded its ward congresses in the 236 wards of the State.

Observers and stakeholders who monitored the exercise across the 20 local government areas of the State included officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Radio Nigeria correspondents report that new leaders were elected to run the party’s affairs at ward level, through the exercise which attracted members in their numbers.

In her observation, one of the INEC officials, Mrs Olajumoke Esan, affirmed that the party members conducted themselves peacefully and participated actively in the process.

Also, the Chairman, PDP Ward Congress Electoral Committee, Mr Solomon Maren and the Chairman Caretaker committee of Ogun PDP, Mr Dada Awoleye described the successful exercise as a reflection of unity within the party.
