Christians have been charged to recommit themselves to the service of God and humanity, re-examine their priorities, values, and actions, and to make necessary adjustments to align with God’s will.
This was part of the admonition at the Burial service of of PA Joseph Okunola Alamu held at the Aguodo Baptist Church, Ogbomoso,Oyo State.
In a sermon titled “What Will Be Your End?”, the Reverend Gbola Aremu charged the congregation to strive for a life of excellence and moral integrity, while emphasizing on the importance of living a life that serves as a positive example to others.
The Reverend Aremu who urged the gathering to embrace values such as honesty, compassion, and kindness, and to consistently demonstrate these qualities in their daily lives, encouraged the children to continue their father’s good works and uphold the values he represented.
One of the children of the deceased, Dr Olawale Alamu, the husband of Omolola Alamu of Radio Nigeria, Premier FM, Ibadan, said his father was a very caring, dedicated and selfless man, who prioritize the welfare of his children.
Papa Joseph Okunola Alamu ,who was a retired Police officer died at the age 89 on the 10th of July, 2024.
