Today is Palm Sunday.

The day commemorates Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey.

It is a day when the crowd greeted him, waving palm fronds with shouts of Hosanna.

It marks the beginning of the Holy Week and the last Sunday of Easter.

Jesus riding on a donkey signifies both his humility and the people’s recognition of him as their king.

The event is a reminder for Christians to welcome Jesus into their hearts and follow him. 

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the most solemn week in the Christian Calendar, the Passion week, leading to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his resurrection.

Next Sunday, the 20th of April, is Easter Sunday.
