Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, Mr. Shina Olukolu has called the attention of the public to the directives on the ban of unauthorized use of sirens, revolving lights and covered number plates on vehicles.

This is contained in a statement in Ibadan by Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi. 

The statement notes that any individual or group caught violating the directives would be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the statutory laws as the task force to carry out the orders has already been put in place. 

It also warns all security personnel caught in the web of escorting their principals with covered vehicle number plates or illegal use of sirens or revolving lights would immediately be arrested and made to face the consequences of their misconduct.
