Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has ordered the payment of salaries owed former employees of West African Energy, erstwhile consultant in charge of waste disposal in the state.
Governor Makinde stated this while addressing the employees who trooped to the Governor’s office, Secretariat, Ibadan to express their displeasure on their outstanding salaries.
The Governor said his government had discovered that they were being owed by West African Energy and assured that the Accountant General would start paying their outstanding salaries.
Governor Makinde further promised the employees that their money would be paid with immediate effect.
