The National Orientation Agency, NOA, in Ekiti State wants residents to voluntarily make themselves available for Covid-19 tests to ensure early detection and treatment. 

The Director of the agency, Mr Dayo Famosaya stated this when he led NOA management team on a sensitization tour to the palace of Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo.

Mr Famosaya said such step would also reduce community spread of the virus and assist government to take more proactive steps in case of any eventuality.

He urged Muslim community to continue to maintain precautionary measures against the spread of the pandemic as they prepare for Salah celebration.

The NOA Director who observed that Otun Ekiti was a border town to Osun and Kwara States urged community chiefs to collaborate with security operatives to check influx of strangers into the state.

Responding, the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo said the community had intensified sensitisation of residents on the need to maintain social distance, regular hand washing, wearing of face mask among others to reduce the risk of contracting the virus.
