Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission embarks on a review of Allocation indices.
Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission is taking steps to review allocation indices that the Commission will use to allocate money from the federation account to the three-tier of governments.
Federal Commissioner, Osun State Mr Oladele Gboyega made this known when he led a team from the Commission on a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in Okemosan Abeokuta.
Mr Oladele who explained that the review was in three stages of sensitization, collation of data and verification of data, pointed out that there was no need for the state government to engage a third party or a consultant in the collation of data to be submitted to the commission.
Responding, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who was represented by his deputy Mrs Noimot Salako Oyedele said that his administration would continue to give the third tier of government necessary support towards taking the dividends of good governance closer to the people.
While noting that the role of local government could not be overemphasized, Governor Abiodun explained that his administration decided to ensure that local government had all financial independence it required to make life meaningful for the people at the grassroots.
