Ogun State House of Assembly has apologised to the labour unions over the speedy passage of the State Pension Amendment Law.
Speaker of the House, Mr Olakunle Oluomo in a statement noted that the step was borne out of the need to accede to the request of the Executive arm through the Assembly’s approval to access Twenty billion Naira bond to defray outstanding gratuities being owed retired workers since 2012.
Mr Oluomo reiterated the Assembly’s commitment towards considering and upholding the interest, rights and privileges of the work force in the state.
The Speaker appealed to labour unions to sustain the already established industrial harmony for betterment of all workers in the state.
