As October 10 governorship election approaches in Ondo State, the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Mr Agboola Ajayi has vowed that he would reduce drastically to just fifty thousand naira tuitions at various state tertiary institutions if elected to lead the state.

Mr Agboola, who is also the state deputy governor, also promised to solve over ten year-old blackout in Ondo South Senatorial District within one hundred days in office as governor.

The ZLP candidate, who made the pledge during the campaign flag off of the party held in Ore, described outrageous increase in tuitions of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko and abolution of free health care for pregnant women and children by the present administration as unacceptable.

Mr Agboola, who was flanked by his running mate and other party stalwarts, said he remained the most qualified candidate to lead the state as governor in order to restore various social welfare packages including empowerment of workers, traders and artisans.

Addressing the supporters, the National leader of ZLP and former governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko said Agboola Ajayi remained the best candidate to rescue the state from what described as bad governance in the last three and half years.

Also speaking, a former PDP governorship aspirant, Mr Banji Okunomo, said it was the turn of Ondo South Senatorial District to produce the next governor of the state in the spirit of political fairness.

The campaign flag off was attended by the ZLP state chairman, Chief Joseph Akinlaja; three former Speakers Bakita Bello; Taofeeq Abdulsalam and Jumoke Akindele among other political bigwigs.
