Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has urged religious leaders to ensure that their followers comply with COVID 19 laid down protocol to further curb the spread of the pandemic in the country.

Governor Abiodun, who stated this while addressing the assembly of clerics and worshipers at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, Sagamu, maintained that places of worship remained the conscience of the society, hence the need for the clerics to lead by example.

Governor Abiodun described the decision to close down religious houses during the COVID-19 lockdown as a difficult one, noting that reopening of religious centres was a risk worth taking.
