Aside these, some Muslims appreciate God through recitation of Holy Quran, giving of food and alms giving to indigents.

History has it that Prophet Muhammed, May peace and blessing of Allah be upon him usually used his birthday to fast and pray to almighty Allah, an indication that a human being’s existence is gradually coming to an end as one celebrates his birthday.

As Muslims mark the remembrance of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, it is very important for people to imbibe the good qualities of the servant of God.

He was a perfect living example of human being to follow as he was sincere in his dealings.

However, it is the lack of the virtues of honesty and sincerity on the part of many Nigerian leaders that constitute major problem citizens are facing today.

Prophet Muhammad showed good manners and was courteous, fair to all irrespective of race, colour or religion during his lifetime.

The love for all, humility, generosity, reformation and reconciliation as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad should be embraced by all.

Living peacefully with one’s neigbours irrespective of religious and tribal affiliation is a virtue displayed by Prophet Muhammed and this is worthy of emulation by all Nigerians.

This will enhance peaceful co-existence of Nigerians and bring development to the nation, as development thrives only in a peaceful environment.

It is imperative for Muslims to use the occasion of Maulud Nabiyy to pray for peace across the country.

Nigerians should also support government towards the successful implementation of their laudable programmes, in line with the Islamic injunction that encourages followers to obey their leaders.

People should join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari to build a strong, united and peaceful nation.

Above all, religious leaders should endeavour to preach tolerance as this will enhance peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
