The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State, says it has not received any order of the court reinstating its former Chairman, Mr Soji Adagunodo.

In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP, Osun State Chapter, Mr Oluwabamiji Oladele said the interim order referred had not been served on the party.

Mr Oladele stated that once it was served the party would study it and make necessary reactions.

Radio Nigeria correspondent who visited the office observed that nothing had changed at the PDP Secretariat on Ikirun Road as the newly appointed Chairman of the party, Mr Sunday Bisi is still in charge.

An Osun State High Court sitting in Ikirun had on Tuesday reinstated Mr Soji Adajunodo as the chairman of People Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State.

The order of the court, presided by Justice Jide Falola was consequent upon an application filed by Mr Adagunodo seeking an interim order of the court to reinstate him as the party’s chairman pending the determination of the motion on notice.

The National Working Committee in October 2020 had ratified the removal of Soji Adajunodo as the chairman of the party following a vote of no confidence passed on him.

A statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan directed that Mr Sunday Bisi take over as chairman of the party.
