Two people have been presumed dead in a fatal crash that occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Witnesses told journalists that a tanker loaded with diesel which was bound for Lagos fell and exploded due to over-speeding causing the content to spill to nearby buildings and burn vehicles parked in that axis.

The spokesman of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi who confirmed the incident said thirty-two vehicles were involved in the accident.

Mr Akinbiyi said remains of the driver and the motor boy had been taken to the morgue of Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital, Sagamu.

He said though normalcy had been restored to the axis, vehicular movement was still at what he described as snail pace.
