Four Secondary School Students of Osun State have been arrested and handed over to the police for assaulting Peace Corps Officials in two schools.   

In a statement in Osogbo, the State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Folorunsbo Oladoyin explained that the students inflicted injuries on the Peace Corps members who prevented them from disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of Ife-Oluwa Co-Educational and St Charles Grammars Osogbo.

He said the four students were caught with dangerous weapons and charms with which they caused bodily injuries on the Peace Corps members who had been hospitalized. 

Mr. Oladoyin hinted that the affected students were in police custody for possible prosecution.

Mr. Oladoyin thereby warned that students in public schools should not allow disgruntled elements to disturb peaceful atmosphere pervading the current learning environment. 

He also charged parents and guardians not to harbour any rascally student or thugs if caught would be handed over to face the full wrath of the law.

Mr. Oladoyin also enjoined principals not to allow students with hairstyles that did not fit into academic settings into the schools.
