Fire Razes House at Igede Ekiti

Fire has razed a house in Igede Ekiti.

The affected residence situated at No. 30A Ilamoye St Mogun Ujoko Igede Ekiti belonged to the family of Awolokun Ogunfowowe.

The incident, which happened at about 11pm yesterday, did not spare anything in the house including a furniture shop owned by a young entrepreneur.

Speaking with Progress FM reporter Kayode Babatuyi, some occupants of the building said they could not ascertain what really led to the outbreak.

According to them, all efforts to put out the fire did not work as they watched helplessly as the fire brought down the building.

Meanwhile, the family of Awolokun has pleaded with government to assist the young entrepreneur who lost valuables to the fire and also assist the family to rebuild the house.
