Fire wreaks Havoc at Alade Market

There was a fire outbreak at the popular Alade market in Shomolu part of Lagos State, Tuesday, reports say.

Eyewitnesses said the fire started around 1 am. the cause of the fire is yet to be known. 

“Alade market in Shomolu was on fire earl this morning. If you have anyone that sells there please check on them depression is real,” a commenter said on Twitter. 

As of the time of this report, no casualty has been reported. But properties and goods worth several billions of Naira have been destroyed.

The Alade Market, Shomolu has witnessed several incidents of fire outbreaks. 

On October 21, 2020, a part of the Alade market caught fire. the source of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
