Chief Magistrate Adetoyinbo P. O of an Ibadan Family Court has ordered the remand of Head of Ori Are Compound in Fanawole area, Ibadan, Najeem Anifowose in custody of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps for raping and assaulting two teenagers in the area.

Najeem Anifowose was alleged to have deflowered two teenage girls aged 13 and 17 by fingering them on January 17 this year at Number One, Fanawole area, Apete, Ibadan.

He was also alleged of shaving the pubic hair of the girls same day same place.

The Mogaji Ori Are however pleaded not guilty to the second charge while not taking any plea on the first charge.

Arraigning the suspect, the prosecutor, who is an officer of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Afe Olurotimi,  told the court that the case file had been duplicated and the Department of Public Prosecutor in Oyo State had issues legal advice on the case.

Counsel to the suspect S. M AbdulMalik urged the court to handle the case, saying the court has jurisdiction on it.

Ruling on the argument, Chief Magistrate Adetoyinbo P. O said though the court had jurisdictions on the second count, the court lacked jurisdictions on the first count which is rape.

The Chief Magistrate therefore transferred the case to High Court and ordered the suspect to be in the custody of the NSCDC in Ibadan
