It points out that Mr Iskilu Akinsanya made the call during a sensitization programme at the areas affected during Shasha market crises.

The NSCDC commandant explained that the programme became imperative to mark the 90th anniversary of the International Civil Defence organization, ICDO Day which comes up annually on March 1st.

Mr Iskilu Akinsanya, who was represented by Deputy Commandant, Mrs Modupe Olanitori, during the visit emphasized that living peaceful coexistence irrespective of tribes, religion and ethnics would go a long way at ensuring a peaceful atmosphere

He stressed that absence of peace in any nation could hinder growth and national development, hence the need for people to live and work together harmoniously.

The NSCDC boss encouraged the market traders and residents of Shasha to see the gesture of the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde in opening the market as a welcome development, which needed to be reciprocated by being law abiding and eschewing acrimony.

Places visited included all the areas affected during the Shasha crisis as well as the house of Baale Shasha, Chief Amusa Ajani.
