Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Mr. Olawale Olokode has paraded seven members of a suspected armed robbery gang terrorising some parts of the state. 

The members of the gang namely, Shola Adewusi, Yusuf Moshood, Taye Fala, Azeez Dauda, Abdullahi Adesokan, Olalekan Ayoola and Tunde Adeniyi were arrested with ammunition. 

Mr. Olokode told newsmen that one of the victims of the armed robbery gang who resided in Ilesha garage Osogbo, reported at Oja-Oba Division that some unknown armed men numbering about five invaded his house with gun and robbed him of N3,650,000 million with his Toyota Camry 2017 model. 

He said the Police Response Unit swung into action and arrested the members of the gang in Oyo, Lagos and Osun States, where two locally made pistols, six cartridges and Toyota Camry 2017 were recovered.

One of the paraded suspects named Ayoola Olalekan denied being an armed robber, but confessed he specialised in transferring money from people’s bank accounts using the victim’s Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) to another account to cash it out. 

Other paraded suspects were Andy Umeiz and Ejike Francis who were alleged of obtaining false pretense and possession of fake currencies. 

The Police commissioner also added that operatives recovered a stolen vehicle from Oyedele Timothy and Adewale Adetona.
