About eight hundred people have benefited from free COVID-19 screening at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

Our health correspondent reports that the programme was organized by a non-governmental organization in collaboration with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

One of the organizers, Mr Ade Adebajo said due to low turnout at the screening they decided to extend in order to reach out to more people.

Mr Adebajo called on Nigerians to get screened as a way of knowing their status.

Some of the beneficiaries thanked the organizers for the opportunity and promised to spread the message.

Representatives of the NCDC were on the ground to ensure the tests were properly conducted.
