Residents and those farming at Bolorunduro, one of the areas affected by the construction of Airport in Ado-Ekiti are currently protesting against the planned clearing of their farmlands by the state Government.
According to the protesters, government brought tractors yesterday to start clearing their farmlands containing various crops without prior notice.
They appealed to the state government to give them more time to allow their crop plantations to germinate and ripe for harvest before the lands were cleared.
Meanwhile, Ekiti state government will today begin payment of compensation to farmers whose airport construction. will be affected by the project.
