The Vicar Saint Anne’s Anglican Church, Molete, Ibadan ,The Venerable Adewale Sanda, has advised Nigerians not to be discouraged from Serving God despite all the evils bedevilling Nigeria.
The Venerable Sanda gave the advice in a sermon in Ibadan during the Palm Sunday service held in the church.
He said despite the tribulations confronting Jesus Christ he continued to serve God till he died.
The Vicar noted that though the situation of things in the nation was not encouraging,Nigerians should be hopeful of a better tomorrow.
The Venerable Sanda called for concerted effort of the goverments at all levels to fight the crimes in Nigeria.
Palm Sunday also called Passion week in the Christian tradition is the the first day of the holy week and the Sunday before Easter
commemorating Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Highlight of the service was the waving of palm fronds by the congregation who sang and danced round the church’s premises with the boys’ brigade drumming and blowing the trumpet.
