Oyo state government has approved  the production of customized ballot papers as sensitive electoral material for the forthcoming local government elections in the state at an estimated cost of 279 million naira 

The state commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun who disclosed this at a press briefing shortly after an executive council meeting noted that 260 million naira was approved for the production of 2.6 million customized ballot papers at 100 naira per ballot paper and with 19.5 million naira as value added .

Dr Olatunbosun also explained that government has awarded the contract to the Nigerian security printing and minting PLC, Lagos for transparency and credibility.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Daud Sangodoyin disclosed that approval has been granted for the construction of a befitting state lodge in Abuja at an estimated cost of 1.2 billion naira 

The commissioner for Land, Housing and Urban Development,Mr Abiodun Abdul-Raheem while reacting to questions on reported demolition at BCOS, explained that the proposed Late Lere Adigun GRA project behind the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo state (BCOS) was with overriding public interest.

Mr Abdul -Raheem  said former staff and occupants of buildings on the land would not be unjustly evicted
