Ogun State Police Command has arrested the abductors of two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ayetoro Campus and two medical personnel with the state government in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Edward Ajogun while parading the suspects along other twelve suspects at the Eleweran Headquarters of the Police, explained that the arrested suspects had confessed that the two students were not their target but a bulk mobile phone recharge card dealer in the area.

The arrested kidnappers Babuga Abubakar, Umaru Usman and Mohammed Bello, according to the Police also confessed to series of kidnap cases including that Ofa doctor and a nurse while on their way to duty at a health facility in the Imeko Afon area of the State.

Also paraded was a twenty eight year-old Haruna Sanni who contacted a police undercover for the purchase of an AK47 rifle to start his kidnapping gang and the duo of Nura Bello and Abubakar Bello Amodu for the kidnapping of one Chief Tajudeen Omotayo, the Olori Ilu of Imope Ijebu.

The state police commissioner further called on the people to continue furnishing security agents with relevant information to enable them perform their duty.
