As Muslims all over the world celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Ogun State Governor, Prince  Dapo Abiodun, has urged the faithful to uphold the lessons and tenets of Ramadan.

In his Eld-el-fitri message, Governor Abiodun called on the Muslim faithful to continue to promote unity and harmony that formed the basis of the holy month.

While noting that Muslims had engaged in the spiritual exercise for the past one month as directed by Allah, the Governor congratulated them for witnessing the end of the fasting and urged them to celebrate El-el-fitri with moderation.

The Governor also urged the Muslims to continue to pray for peace and unity in the country, particularly in the face of security and economic challenges.

He however urged the faithful to observe COVID-19 safety protocols and guidelines during and after the celebration, adding that the pandemic is far from over.
