The Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State has withdrawn from tomorrow’s local government council elections.

The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Sikirullai Ogundele, while speaking with Radio Nigeria said the decision was due to the interference of the  Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission in the internal politics of PDP in the state.

He also Stated that insecurity was another reason leading to the boycott of the Local government election as campaign rallies of the the APC had been characterised with violence.

Alhaji Ogindele also noted that the PDP had sued electoral body, OGSIEC for dealing with a faction in the party, noting that the electoral umpire was assisting the opposition to destabilize the PDP in the state.

The OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu had been denying fuelling the crisis in the PDP.
