Members of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria in Ogun State have staged a protest to the branch of a commercial bank at Ita Eko in Abeokuta alleging the bank of diversion of the union’s one hundred and thirty four million Naira investment.

The state chairman of the Association, Comrade Olude Owolabi who led the placards carrying unionists while speaking during a protest at the bank branch at Ita Eko in Abeokuta, said the association had instructed the bank to transfer its investments into another bank account.

Comrade Owolabi also explained that the bank however failed to remit the total sum into the new bank account.

However, the bank branch Manager, Mr. Saka Adeleke while reacting to the protest stated that the bank was not denying the association access to their funds and hinted that the issue was being investigated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

He maintained that the CBN investigation on the matter would determine the transfer of the remaining fund as requested by the association.
