“Oluomo” Electrocuted in Akungba

A man simply identified as “Oluomo” has been electrocuted in Akungba, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The incident happened very close to Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC office in the community. 

A witness hinted that the deceased was trying to reconnect disconnected wires on a pole when he was electrocuted on Tuesday night. 

Another witness also disclosed that Oluomo attempted to make an illegal connection on a pole when he met his untimely death.

Meanwhile, community leaders and BEDC management have cautioned residents and electricity customers against tampering with public utility and infrastructure.
