Ogun State Police Command has arrested a housewife, Mrs Memunat Salaudeen for planning with three others to kidnap her husband.
A statement by the command spokesman, Mr. Oyeyemi Abimbola indicated that the three other suspects were apprehended during a stop and search operation along Papa/Itori road.
The spokesman explained that the suspects, Olayinka Lawal, Asungba Nura and Usman Oluwatoyin were with a cutlass and a new strong rope when accosted and gave differing accounts of their movement during interrogation.
They hinted that Mrs. Memunat Salaudeen has confessed to sponsoring the kidnap of her husband with eight thousand naira.
The Ogun State Police Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
