Operatives of Ogun State Police command have arrested a 32 year old housewife Kehinde Abdul Wasiu for allegedly setting her husband’s mistress, a 23 year old Tosin Olugbade ablazed.
The Suspect, a mother of three was arrest after the husband of the deceased, Fatai Olugbade reported at Onipanu divisional headquarters Ota that his late wife was having extra marital affair with Ismail Wasiu.
Mr Olugbade informed the policemen that the Suspect allegedly poured petrol on the deceased and set her ablaze after an argument had ensued between them.
The Police Public Relations officer, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the incident said the Suspect had confessed committing the crime.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Lanre Bankole, has ordered the speedy conclusion of investigation into the case with the view to charging the case to court as soon as possible.
