Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has disclosed plan of his administration to unveil a long term state development plan entitled Agenda 2040 and a medium term development plan from 2021- 2025 in the second quarter of next year.

He stated this when he received the draft of Oyo State development plan 2021-2040 from the central working committee and the technical groups.

Governor Makinde who said the plan would be unveiled through an economic summit said the plan could facilitate economic prosperity for Oyo state and serve as a guide for successive administration.

He explained that the development plan rested on four pillars which comprises economic development plan, human capital and social development, infrastructure development and physical planning development.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Professor Babatunde Musibau explained that the development plan contained four pillars and 25 thematic areas in line with global development agenda.

Professor Musibau also noted that the document has specific time benchmark with clear vision and smart goals
