In a bid to ensure an itch-free yuletide season, the Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority OYRTMA, has deployed not less than 150 men and officers for a Special Night Operation aimed at ensuring a smooth cross-over night across the State.

A statement by the Executive Chairman, Oyo state Road Transport management authority OYRTMA, Dr Akin Fagbemi during a press briefing granted at the administrative headquarters of the Authority, Agodi, Ibadan. 

The OYRTIMA boss said that the influx of people into the state call for an enhanced operational approach from the men and officers of Oyo state Road Transport management authority OYRTMA, to ensure a seamless and accident-free yuletide season across the state.

He further stated that the deployment of 150 men and officers of OYRTMA for night operation during the yuletide season is in line to meet the urgent societal needs, particularly during this festive period.

Dr Fagbemi further explained that the exercise would be complemented by a standby emergency rescue operations team in of any emergency.

He implored Motorists in the state to drive safely and carefully as the agency hope the public takes full advantage of the agency social media handles and hotlines to get to the agency in time in case of emergencies as the agency is always on alert.

The Special Night Operation is specifically for the festive season which will focus mainly on the cross-over night between 9 am to 2 am.
