The Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, says its Anti-Vandal unit has arrested a forty-foot truck conveying what is suspected to be adulterated petroleum product.

It notes that the unit discovered several polythene bags containing twenty-five litres of content suspected to be adulterated Automotive Gas Oil, AGO, also called diesel.

This was contained in a press release issued in Asaba, which was signed by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer in the state, DSC Emeka Okwechime.

According to the statement, two suspects Kabiru Bulama and Alli Mohammed, who were arrested in connection with the crime confessed that the illegally refined products were supplied from Rivers State.

The report also announced the raiding and destruction of illegal petroleum refining depots at Ubeji and Jedi axis in Warri South, where a two hundred horsepower engine and pumping machines were seized along with other exhibits.

The statement adds that three other suspects were also apprehended for illegal dealing in adulterated automotive gas oil in the Sapele and Warri areas of the state.
