Police have launched a manhunt for members of two rival groups of land touts in Ilesa following the killing of one of them in a bloody clash at Okutuope area of Ilesa, Osun State.
Confirming the incident the Divisional Police Officer in Charge of Ayeso A’ Division, Mr Martins said the corpse of the victim who was identified as Kaima has been deposited at a morgue in the town while his men and officers are on the trail of the fleeing suspects.
According to the information filtering in from a property owner in the area who claimed anonymity, trouble started when a group of the touts besieged a site but met their waterloo as a rival group that was already around put up a stronger defence against them.
According to the eyewitness, the touts engaged themselves in a deadly fight using, clubs, cutlass and bottles on one another leading to the death of Kaima.
