The killing of policemen has continued unchecked in the South East with the latest coming from Ebonyi State.
A reliable source confirmed that three policemen were gunned down Monday night at the Ezillo police station in Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi State.
The policemen were said to have mounted a roadblock in front of the station lost when the gunmen stormed and opened fire on them.
The remains of the three police victims have been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki after they were confirmed dead by doctors.
At least 10 policemen were gunned down in Enugu in two different attacks by gunmen who stormed checkpoints.
The resurgence of killings in the zone especially that of security personnel has become worrisome just as fear and apprehension continue to grip residents.
