Ogun state government has received over three hundred thousand single dose of Johnson and Johnson Covid 19 vaccine to strengthen the fight against the deadly virus in the state.
Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker announced this in Abeokuta while speaking with Journalists on the update on Covid 19 vaccination in the state.
Dr Coker explained that the single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine would go a long way to cater for the hard to reach population in the nation.
The Ogun state health Commissioner pointed out that four hundred and fifty nine thousand, six hundred and seventy four people representing 14 percent had been fully vaccinated since the onset of the vaccination exercise in march 2021.
Dr Coker solicited the continued support of media practitioners in the enlightenment campaign on the need for the people to be vaccinated against the spread of the corona virus.
Highpoint of the update was the symbolic administration of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine on some residents of the state.
