In their bid to sanitize the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria, ALPSPN, in Oyo State with the directive from the National Headquarters of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC,  Private Guard Company, PGC, to all members throughout the Federation to checkmate the activities of unlicensed Security outfit from the operation.

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Oyo State, Mr Adaralewa Micheal has inaugurated the joint task force, JTF, today at the Command State Headquarters Agodi, Ibadan.

The inauguration has members selected from the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria, ALPSPN, and the Operations Unit of the Oyo State, PGC Department.

During the Inauguration, the State Commandant of the Corps, Mr Adaralewa Michael enjoined the members of the JTF to always remember the reason why the Corps hierarchy formed the task force and also work in that direction to eradicate the unlicensed private security set up in Oyo State.

He added that the corps and government cannot allow those who are not qualified to reap the fruit of the labour of Registered Private Security Practitioners.

Commandant Adaralewa later gives the names of JTF members as follow: Group Captain, Dr Bisi Ojebola rtd – Chairman, Mr Steven Adetomiwa, Mr David Ebhonu, Mr Awotayo Fayom and Mrs Franca Ijeoma, others are DSC Ajayi Olabode, DSC Azeez Saheed and ASC11 Ologunebi Paul.

The State Commandant later enjoined the newly inaugurated committee to always give the Corps adequate information in other to support and achieve the task committed into their hands.

He warned members of the public from patronising Maiguard or United Nations, UN, registered bouncers to save themselves from being killed, kidnapped, raped or robbed.

According to him, anybody who put on a uniform to provide Security services must register with NSCDC or else the Joint Task Force will arrest and prosecute offenders.

He appealed to government and corporate organisations to patronise Registered Licensed Private Security Practitioners for Guards and Bouncers for the betterment of our nation.

President of the Oyo State Chapter of Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners, Mr Seyi Alabaster appreciate NSCDC for deeming it fit to established the Joint Task Force and promised to assist NSCDC for the Joint Task Force to succeed.

The Chairman of Joint Task Force, Group Captain retired Dr Bisi Oyebola promised to summit the blueprint of the task force to the State Commandant, “he added that the task force will add native intelligence to Digital experience and bring the culprit to book.

He urged the citizens not to patronise illegal guards but seek advice from NSCDC for registered private guards.
