Delta State police command has rescued thirteen kidnap victims at Aniagbala in Aniocha South, leading to the death of one of the Assailants.

This was contained in a statement made available by the Command Public Relations Officer DSP Edafe Bright, which reveals that one AK47 rifle was also recovered from the successful operation.

The report notes that the police had responded to an information about the interception of a fourteen seater bus, conveying sixteen occupants before the attack.

It points that upon the directive of the state Commissioner of Police Mohammed Ari, personnel of the force with the support of local vigilante combed the bushes in search of the victims leading to their rescue after a gun duel with the hoodlums.

The statement emphasizes that all the thirteen passengers were rescued unhurt.
