The rapturous praises and sonorous lyrics rarifying the atmosphere captured the mood of members of Radio Nigeria Ibadan Christian Fellowship during this year’s Easter Cantata.

The venue of the gathering was Studio One, Broadcasting House Radio Nigeria.

In a speech, the Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria Ibadan, Mrs Bolatito Joseph said Easter was significant because the death of Jesus Christ brought hope to humanity.

Mrs Joseph explained that understanding the essence of Jesus Christ’s death should always elicit gratitude and thanksgiving from Christians.

In a sermon, President, Radio Nigeria Ibadan Christian Fellowship, Pastor Taiwo Sowande said Easter was worth celebrating as it marked the foundation of hope for believers through the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus.

Similarly, a member of staff, Mrs Stella Oyebanji, in an exhortation said God’s abundance of grace was always available for Christians to attain enviable spiritual heights.

The event was coloured by hymns, special songs and drama pieces from choristers from Nigeria Television Authority, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Guys Apala and Okiki Olodumare.
