Police in Osun State have arrested three young men in connection with ritual killings.
They suspects, 25 years old Olayade Kehinde, Olufemi Oriyomi 21 and Raimi Sheriff 21 were arrested along Osogbo/OAU Campus Road Ile-Ife.

In a statement in Osogbo, the Police Public Relations Officer, Osun State Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola explained that on the 7th of April, 2022 at about eleven o’clock in the morning along Osogbo/OAU Ife Campus Road, the Police detectives on ‘stop and search’ duty accosted three men on motorcycle, flagged them down, but rather than stop they sped off.
Mrs Opalola said a hot chase by the police led to their eventual arrest at Safejo area of Ile-ife.
She added that, while searching, a human heart was found on them, which they claimed belonged to one of their friends, while they were also in possession of various criminal charms.
The police spokesperson stated that in the cause of discreet investigation, one of the suspects named Olufemi Oriyomi fell sick and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he died while on admission.
Mrs Opalola said the corpse had been deposited at State hospital for autopsy, while the remaining two suspects would be charged to Court on the conclusion of investigation.
