A chieftain of the Accord Party, Alhaji Saheed Ajadi has officially declared his intention to contest the 2023 governorship election in Oyo State on the party’s platform.

He made the declaration during a press conference in Ibadan.

Alhaji Ajadi, who was the former governorship candidate of Accord in 2019, said the need for good governance prompted him to join the race again and achieve victory for the party.

The governorship hopeful while lamenting that the PDP-led government in the state had not done anything with the huge resources of Oyo State, promised to change the narrative of leadership, noting that Oyo State is richly blessed to take care of its affairs.

Alhaji Ajadi however called on the Oyo State citizens to go and get their over 700 thousand permanent voters’ cards that are currently with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC ahead of the 2023 general elections so as to make the right choices.

On the insecurity bedevilling the country, the Accord governorship hopeful said patriotism and proper training of security personnel were crucial.

Commenting on the presidential ambition of the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Alhaji Ajadi described him as the best aspirant going by what he did in Lagos when he was the governor and his track record in politics.
