Couples struggling to achieve pregnancy should seek medical assistance rather than attribute the problem to the woman.

 A gynaecologist, Professor Alexandra Owolabi gave the advice while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Ilesa.

 Professor Owolabi explained that eighty per cent of women trying to conceive should have a positive result within a year, and if not, should seek assistance without further delay.

 The medical expert urged people to desist from stigmatizing children conceived through IVF and their mothers, saying IVF is advanced technical assistance, and babies conceived through it are not different from the ones conceived naturally.

 Speaking on the high cost of IVF, the gynaecologist, however, advised couples to be financially prepared determined, and prayerful to achieve success.
