No fewer than twenty listeners of Radio Nigeria Ibadan have been given gifts of food items in the spirit of Ramadan fast.
The beneficiaries were given the items as a result of their participation in a live religious programme of FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, “Alaye Esin Islam”.
Presenting the gift items, on behalf of the sponsor of the programme, Alhaji Adekunle Yusuf, a member of FRCN Ramadan Committee, Mrs Saidat Adebayo, said the beneficiaries demonstrated adequate understanding of Islam and Qur’an as evident during phone calls put through to the live programme.
The beneficiaries including Jimoh Uswat, from Ali Iwo, Yusuf Muhammad and Abduljeli from Olorundaaba appreciated the programme sponsor and FRCN for the gesture, saying they would continue to listen to Radio Nigeria’s programmes.
They appealed to the programme sponsor and management of FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station not to in transmitting programmes that uplift and unite the people.
“Alaye Esin Islam”, hit the airwave of Radio Nigeria, Ibadan on Thursdays between 11:15a.m and 11:45 am and between Tuesdays 9:03 and 9:30 in the evening.
