An Islamic cleric, Skeik Quasim Akilapa has identified the discovery of talents and ability as necessary tools for youths to be responsible citizens and to contribute to the development of the society.

He said this at the annual Ramadan lecture entitled ‘Living a Purposeful Life, an Islamic Perspective’ organized by the Mogaji Ile-Nla Compound, Olajuwon Subair held at Labiran, Ibadan.

The cleric emphasized that living a purposeful life required successful individuals to share their wisdom, knowledge and serve humanity for a better society.

Sheik Akilapa, therefore, admonished youths to engage in legitimate jobs so as to live an impactful life.

Mogaji Olajuwon Subair said the Ramadan lecture was part of his commitment to the community for spiritual rebirth.

Mogaji Subair urged the youths to avoid thuggery and hooliganism as the 2023 general election approaches but rather exercise their civic responsibility by voting rightly for those who mean well for society.

The wife of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Olori Joyce Balogun, religious leaders and some mogajis in Ibadan attended the Ramadan lecture.
