Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola wants Muslims to use this holy month of Ramadan to pray and ask for forgiveness from God.
Governor Oyetola, who stated this at the Government House Osogbo during a special Ramadan Tafsir, also emphasized the need for Muslims to forgive those that had offended them.
The governor appreciated the congregation for the support his administration had been enjoying, craving for more support and prayer.
Earlier while speaking during the Tafsir, Sheik Kamorudeen Bello emphasized the need for the Muslim faithful to believe in Prophet Mohammed’s messages and ways of worshipping God.
He explained that out of 124 thousand Allah’s prophets and 313 messengers, only prophet Mohammed’s messages contain everything about human endeavours as Allah desires for his people.
The cleric admonished the faithful to shun sins and never backslide, calling on those who have backslidden to repent in order to escape Alla’s wrath.
Present at the event were top Government functionaries, political stalwarts and support groups among others.
