The less privileged in the society need to be assisted to relief and give them a sense of belonging.

President, Men Christian League of the All Souls Church, Bodija Estate, Ibadan, Chief Emeka Okoli stated this when he led some members of the group on a courtesy visit to the management of Radio Nigeria Ibadan.

Chief Emeka Okoli explained that the league felt obliged to assist society; hence it had been providing humanitarian assistance to orphanages.

He said the purpose of the visit was to intimate the station about the 50th anniversary of the League which would commence next week.

Reeling out the activities lined up for the Golden Jubilee, Chief Emeka said the group had outlined some vital projects for the enhancement of All Souls Church as well as for the benefits of homes for the less privileged and vulnerable.

He added that that the Bishop of Ibadan Diocese Anglican Communion, the Most Reverend Joseph Akinfenwa would be on ground to inaugurate the League’s projects.

Responding, the Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria Ibadan, Mrs Bolatito Joseph commended the group for the feat, stressing that its humanitarian gesture and youths oriented programmes would have positive impact on society.

She pledged the readiness of the station to promote the 50th activities of the league.

Mrs Joseph called on other well meaning individuals to emulate the Men Christian League by assisting the less privileged in the society
