Products standardization, patronage and requirements for their registration will boost home-made goods and enhance domestic economy.

This forms the bases of a day interactive forum organized by the National Orientation Agency, NOA in Ibadan.

Addressing the gathering, the state coordinator, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mr Femi Odedokun, said the patronage of Nigeria product would not only improve the country’s gross domestic product but also create job opportunity for Nigerian youths.

Mr Odedokun said excessive importation of foreign products into the country had affected local manufacturers and farmers, adding that the trend had informed the decision of Federal Government to close the nation’s border.

In their separate goodwill messages, representative of agriculture finance institutions, National Youth Service Corps, religious institutions, regulators and administrators of local products stressed the need for Nigerians to consider local content and find ways of addressing security and access to agriculture and business loans.

The forum, which provided an avenue for participants to seek clarifications on the registration of their company with relevant product regulatory agencies, continues with sensitization on peaceful conduct of the 2023 election.
