A mild drama ensued at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba ,Ibadan venue of the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, between Governor Seyi Makinde and his opponent, Azeem Gbolarunmi as policemen stationed at the entrance of the stadium denied some journalists access into the premises.

A member of the Press Crew Corps and the Nation reporter at the Oyo state government house, Ibadan, Mr. Yinka Adeniran in a bid to perform his duties was  beaten and harassed by policemen. 
During the scenario, the alleged policeman at the event  fire teargas canister on the Nation  reporter while his cloth was torn.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria,the Nation Reporter, Yinka Adeniran said there was no basis for the harassment as he showed his Identity card to the policeman who brutalised him.
According to Adeniran “I was first attacked by some over zealous policemen, two of them were holding riffles threatening to shoot me and I ran as they pursued me.”

“I have seen them before the whole procession turned upside down.”
Meanwhile, Mr Yinka Adeniran has reported the incident to the Oyo state commissioner of Police, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko.
