Accreditation of delegates for the APC governorship primaries in Oyo State is ongoing at Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
Radio Nigeria’s correspondents monitoring the events report that the delegates will proceed to Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado for the election, immediately after the accreditation.
The chairman and members of the committee of APC for the primary, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi are directing and monitoring the screening of the valid delegates.
All the aspirants of the primary except Chief Niyi Akintola who pulled out of the primary due to lack of confidence in the event are on ground to witness the processes.
Meanwhile, there is heavy presence of Security operatives in and around the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium and the accreditation centre.
As at the time of filling this report, only journalists are allowed to gain entry into the election venue of the APC gubernatorial primaries.
The delegates comprising five elected party members from each ward are expected to pick the party flag bearer for the 2023 governorship election in Oyo State.
It would be recalled that the Oyo State 2022 Governorship primary was postponed till Friday following disorderliness of the aspirants supporters that gate-crashed the event on Thursday posing threat to the conduct of the primary.
